Garden in the Sky

Brighton-Le-Sands, NSW:

With a vast open plan layout on the lower levels and penthouse the driving concept was to create the ‘missing garden’ at the top of a fastidiously designed apartment overlooking the waters at Brighton-Le-Sands. The space provides unparalleled comfort through various seating opportunities, privacy and isolation defined by planting and nooks and an overall indulgent and effortless flow throughout the entire garden qualified by a raised water feature. Characteristically this rooftop garden is designed as a space of material exhibition as well as functionality. Subsisting throughout are spans of glazed glass, rustic corten, shrill stainless steel, bold granites and warm timber. Surrounding the garden of course, is the borrowed skyline, framed carefully from all sides to provide an oasis for enjoyment and relaxation in the midst of bustling area.
